This edition was released in the Fall of 2014 and is from Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Antique Collection. 2014 G.T Stagg bourbon is aged for 16 + years in new charred oak barrels with a finished cask strength of 138.1% proof and roughly 10,849 bottles estimated in circulation. The nose opens with hits of darkly roasted wood, caramel, and smooth vanilla bean. The palate is more bites of caramelized wood, brown sugar candies, and layers of aged oak wrapped in leather.
